Those who want know more about Tenerife and its links with Louis Braille could be interested in a new attraction.

An exhibition has opened in La Laguna to celebrate the 200 years since the inventor''s birth, according to the Tenerife News.

On show at the Casa de Los Capitanes del Consistorio lagunero, it is available to enjoy until June 14th, the website reported.

It has been designed by the national association of the blind in Spain to "prove art has no barriers", the portal said.

The museum pieces have an interactive element, allowing visitors to learn more about Braille and his universal touch-based language for the blind through sounds and images.

Other features of the attraction include natural history, Latin and Greek mythology and the history of people who have lived in the Canary Islands.

Those heading instead to Puerta de la Cruz could be interested in another new summer attraction.
