| A diplomat gained more information about Tenerife during a trip to the island recently. Wolf Ruthart Born – the ambassador of Germany in Spain – visited the destination to coincide with Europe Day, according to the Tenerife News. He was joined by the consul of Germany in the Canaries Ingo Friedemann Pangels and the president of Tenerife Cabildo Ricardo Melchior. The trio paid a visit to a number of the destination''s attractions. Among these was a jaunt to the Museum of Nature and Man, where Mr Born was "surprised" by the mummy exhibit, according to the news provider. The trio headed to the Tenerife Space of the Arts in Barranco de Santos - the dignitary reportedly showed a particular interest in the work of Oscar Dominguez. Food tasting was also said to be a key activity on the vacation – the group went to the Cada del Vino Baranda at El Sauzal where they tried some delicious local delicacies. Of course, you do not need to be a diplomat or politician with an expenses account to afford a holiday to Tenerife – with its range of accommodation and activities there is something to suit every pocket. Those who enjoy thrills and spills could try the Siam Park, a large water attraction. ![]() |
