| People who enjoy getting on their glad rags for a boogie could be interested in a Tenerife holiday this year. That is because details of the island''s Ritmos Del Mundo dance festival have been announced. Set to take place at the Lago Martianez in Puerto de la Cruz, it is happening on June 20th. DJ Real el Canario will headline the event. He says he is influenced by Afrika Bambaataa and Grandmaster Flash on his Myspace page. Tunes such as Wiggle Wiggle 2009, El Campeon Dub and Esta Noche could get the dancefloor moving at the bash. Other bands and record-spinners on the bill include David Herrera, Jacob Padilla, Jonay, DJ Leon, Fran Cabello and Logan. Commenting on the event, the Tenerife Matters blog said: "Palm Trees, cool pools and hot music Â… It''s dance yourself dizzy time." Families with children too young to attend the festival could instead look to a kids football camp being held in La Orotava. Dates are available in July and August for the sessions, which are being run by AC Milan. ![]() |
