News Article Footballer takes a Tenerife holiday
Monday 8th Jun 2009 at 19:27
It has emerged Scottish midfielder Graham Dorrans is topping up his tan on a Tenerife holiday.

The West Bromwich Albion footballer may have thought the best way to get over the disappointment of being relegated from the Premier League was to hop on a flight to find out about Tenerife and what it has to offer anyone looking to get away from it all.

His break in the Canary Island could have also softened the blow of news that manager Tony Mowbray is upping sticks and taking over the reigns at Celtic.

"I''m on holiday Â… but was gutted to pick up the paper and read the gaffer was going. He gave me my big break by giving me a crack at the best league in the world," the footballer told the Sunday Mail.

Those in the know about Tenerife may say it is a hotbed for sporting stars as the Brandon Sun recently reported cycling legend Lance Armstrong is also visiting the island once again.

For the second time in a year the seven-time champion of the Tour de France will be visiting the sun-drenched destination to train for the upcoming season.ADNFCR-917-ID-19207450-ADNFCR
