 Tenerife holidaymakers snap up Mamma Mia tickets |

| In one week over a thousand tickets have reportedly been sold to see the hit musical Mamma Mia. Anyone who wishes to combine a Tenerife holiday with a visit to the show this winter may have to act fast to be in the audience at the Auditorio de Tenerife in Santa Cruz. Tenerife News claims the number of tickets sold "shows the level of interest" on the sun-kissed island for the musical that is based on Abba songs such as The Winner Takes it All, Take a Chance on Me, Dancing Queen, Waterloo and Thank You for the Music. Hollywood also fell in love with the story and made a film version of it starring Meryl Streep, Peirce Brosnan, Julie Walters and Colin Firth. Those who are yet to see the stage show or the movie - or those who wish to enjoy it again - could combine it with a winter holiday to the Canary Islands. One thing people may not know about Tenerife is that it is an all-year-round destination, so even in the winter maximum average temperatures are above 70 degrees C.  |
