Wednesday 1st Jul 2009 at 10:59
Holidaymakers with a passion for film may be interested in a new piece of information about Tenerife and its summer events.

Details of Fimucite 3, a movie soundtrack festival, have been announced.
It will take place at venues such as the TEA and Teatro Leal between July 20th to 26th, with this year''s theme (being?) the Alien motion pictures.

Jerry Goldsmith, the composer of the music for the Sigourney Weaver-starring horror flicks, will also be honoured at the event.

A special show will take place at the Auditorio, where music from throughout his career will be performed.

Guests such as Oscar winner Jan Kaczmarek have also been lined up for the bash.

Other stars heading to the Canaries include composer for the X-Files Mark Snow and former Pop Will Eat Itself singer Clint Mansell, who worked on the tunes for Requiem for a Dream.

Filmoteca Canaria will also be screening a series of films to coincide with the festival.

Those in the know about Tenerife will already be aware the new Clash of the Titans film used the island for locations earlier this year.ADNFCR-917-ID-19245136-ADNFCR
