Animal lovers may be encouraged to book a cheap holiday to Tenerife after hearing about the latest developments at one of its attractions.

Over 735 parrots have been born at Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz this year, the Tenerife News relayed.

According to the report, the hatchings were particularly significant due to the fact some of the 136 different species are endangered.

The new arrivals join a wide range of critters at the zoological attraction, which houses monkeys, tigers and gorillas.

Other creatures available to view at the park include ocean-dwellers such as dolphins and sea lions.

Penguins, meanwhile, have their own special area which can be viewed through an ice tunnel.

Kings, Gentoos, Chinstraps and Rockhoppers are among the varieties of the animal which reside here.

Green-fingered holidaymakers may value a look at the Naturavision, which is a glass dome housing a range of flowers and fauna.ADNFCR-917-ID-19311441-ADNFCR
