| Those who enjoy a challenge may wish to follow the footsteps of one daredevil and book a holiday to Tenerife. Adventurer Ted Edwards has recounted one of his most memorable missions to the Salford Advertiser – a hike up Mount Teide. Describing the 70-year-old as "Eccles'' answer to Indiana Jones", the column stated the intrepid vacationer scaled the mountain following expeditions to the Sahara Desert and the Arctic. Explaining his love of the outdoors, Mr Edwards remarked: "Most people in my position would be looking forward to a quiet life - but I''ve never had that and I''m not going to start now." People deciding to follow his lead and book a cheap flight to Tenerife may be interested to know will be visiting the set of a major Hollywood movie. Mount Teide is among the locations being used for the upcoming Clash of the Titans film, which stars Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson. ![]() |
