| People planning a holiday to Tenerife over the next year may have a new luxury hotel to stay in. The Spanish government has announced plans for a five-star retreat in the south of the island, the Tenerife News relayed. Some €71.3 million (£62.8 million) is apparently going to be ploughed into the development, which will reportedly be built by local firm Fedola. Resorts in the southern region of the destination include Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje. The latter is home to Siam Park, which may be the place to head to for those who enjoy a cooling dip in the midday sun. Slides, wave machines and animal statues are among the key aspects of the attraction, with the Tower of Power described by bosses as its most iconic feature. Elsewhere in the park, there are restaurants, shops and areas for sunbathing, such as the Siam beach and Mai Thai River. ![]() |
