| Fans of folk music may be encouraged to book a cheap flight to Tenerife this year after learning about an upcoming event on the island. Spanish band Celtas Cortos have announced details of a gig at the Balearic destination, which is set to take place on October 19th in Santa Cruz. The performance is being held as part of the Carpa Dorada en Vivo bash, which will also see Juan Perro and Los Delinquentes take to the stage on October 19th and 17th respectively. Celtas Cortas are known in the celtic rock world for albums such as Salida de Emergencia and Asi es Como Suena Folk Joven. They have played on the circuit for the last 25 years and claim to be influenced by Irish jigs and world music. Music fans who keep up to date with information about Tenerife may be aware Rod Stewart played a concert on the island earlier this year. The rocker followed the show with a holiday with his wife Penny Lancaster. ![]() |
