| Those looking for a beautiful destination for a big celebration may wish to book a holiday to Tenerife and follow in the footsteps of one British couple. Roy and Margaret Pollard told the Halifax Evening Courier there was only one vacation for them on their golden wedding anniversary – a jaunt to the Canary Island. The pair may have another reason to celebrate, as their first great-grandchild is due to be born on the day they reach their half century of marriage. Commenting on the tactics used to reach the milestone, Mr Pollard joked: "If you want to know the secret of a long and happy marriage – don''t put a battery in your hearing aid!" When the couple reach their holiday destination, they could have a range of entertainment options. Siam Park in Costa Adeje could be perfect for a relaxing swim or afternoon''s sunbathing. Meanwhile, the La Milpa eatery in Tacoronte may be the place to head for a romantic evening meal – Tenerife News recently stated the cuisine on offer is of a "high standard" and commended its spring rolls stuffed with prawns dish.  |
